How to Create Your Brand Kit with Canva

Whether you’re new to blogging or a well established blogger, you most likely know how important it is to keep your brand consistent. Ideally your website should match your social media accounts, and all content you create; but keeping track of your brand colors and fonts can be time-consuming at best and a complete drain on your creative energy at worst.

Fortunately, I have learned a simple trick using Canva that has made it super easy to keep my brand consistent. Since setting up my brand kit, I have been able to create beautiful, consistent content without wasting time finding my brand colors and fonts. It has been a game changer for me, and I’m going to show you how to utilize this trick for yourself.

Step 1: Login to your Canva account and go to your dashboard. Then click on Your brand in the sidebar. I have highlighted exactly where you need to go to change your colors and font.

1. Click on Your Brand
2. Add your brand colors
3. Choose your brand fonts and sizes for the Heading, Subheading, and Body text

Step 2: Create or add your brand colors.

You can choose your colors, look for color palette inspiration, and even add more than one color palette all in once place! If you know your color code #’s, you can simply type them into the box.

Step 3: Choose your brand fonts for the Heading, Subheading, and body text

You can choose your brand’s fonts for the Heading, Subheading, and Body text Here. If you aren’t sure which fonts go together, you can use this tool to create amazing font combinations.  Canva even makes it easy to save your custom fonts in the uploaded fonts section.

Step 4: Upload your logo

Finally, upload your logo and your brand kit is complete!!! If you need help creating your logo, see my gig on Fiverr that I created just to help out my fellow bloggers!

Now that your Canva brand kit is set up, you can enjoy the benefits of having a cohesive brand across all platforms without the headache of trying to keep track of everything yourself!
